The work consisted of the installation of new mechanical flocculation mixers & electrical equipment; modifications to the chemical feed and mixing piping; construction of new baffles walls in flocculation basins; structural modifications for seismic strengthening of the flocculation basins including reinforced concrete & structural steel fabrications; removal & reinstallation of filter media and support gravel; installation of new plastic block underdrains, filter media and washwater troughs for Filters 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6; installation of new plastic nozzle underdrains, filter media and washwater troughs for Filters 8, 9 and 11; installation of new filter to waste piping valves and appurtenances; structural modifications for seismic strengthening of the filter structure including reinforced concrete and structural steel fabrications. The work is located in San Bruno, CA in San Mateo County.
